Who I Can Help

I offer online counselling which provides accessible and flexible therapy, allowing you to attend sessions from home or any private space using secure video platforms. This can be especially helpful for clients seeking online therapy for anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, or emotional wellbeing, as well as those with busy schedules or limited access to local counselling services. Face-to-face counselling offers in-person therapy at my practice in Yatton, a calm, confidential setting, which some clients prefer for the sense of connection, routine, and physical presence it provides. Both online and in-person counselling are effective forms of professional therapy, and choosing the right option depends on your individual needs, comfort, and preferences.

Whether online or in-person, I provide a safe and compassionate space to explore your experiences and develop practical coping strategies.

I can help adults experiencing:

Relational Difficulties

If you struggle maintaining relationships, or find it difficult to trust others, hold and maintain boundaries, or just can't find the right words to let others know how you feel, together we can identify and unpick these recurring patterns and behaviours, carefully and sensitively.

Addiction and Coping Behaviours

If you are struggling with addiction, complusive and impulsive behaviours, or find it difficult finding effective coping strategies when things get tough, I can offer support where we can look at these behaviours and help identify realistic and effective strategies and relapse prevention tools, to help you rediscover a sense of calm and control.

Trauma and Trauma Support

Trauma is not just about what happened, but how this experience is held within your body and nervous system. Using a strengths-based approach, we look at what has happened to you, not what is wrong with you. Together, and at your own pace, we can explore the emotional, physical, or relational impact of your trauma, helping you re-stabilise and move into a space that feels safe.

Anxiety, Stress and Low Mood

If you feel that sometimes life is too much, and everything seems as if it is falling apart, we can work together to help you identify and unpick what is going on underneath, sometimes using CBT skills or a solution-focused method. This exploration can facilitate a lighter, more manageable sense of self, helping you undertand your feelings and yourself better.

Identity and Self-Understanding

In an age where identity is making the headlines, and parts of ourselves are being scrutinised or questioned, understanding and accepting your own identity may feel scary or confusing. Using compassion-focused methods, we can carefully explore your values, sense of self and how these make you up. Together we can re-discover your self-esteem and self-compassion, and move towards acceptance, personal growth and resilliance.

Just not Feeling Yourself

Sometimes you might not know what to come with. You might recognise you are just not feeling yourself, but can't put your finger on why, and that's ok. We can look at this together, at your own pace.

If you resonate with any of these issues, please know you are not alone and support is available, if you feel ready. Contact me today and we can discuss putting a plan in place that suits you.
